Is hubpages different from other writing communities?
I know there are multiple choices when it comes
to joining and being with writing communities and online publishing platforms
where you can write articles, share your passions, and also earn money but still
there are several things that make hubpages different from other sites like
Ezinearticles, Contributor Yahoo, Helium, Suite101, Ehow, Redgage, Xomba,
Shetoldme, Squidoo, Bukisa, etc.? There are obviously more benefits writing at
Hubpages compared to the rest.

Hubpages Pays Via Paypal, Amazon, Adsense, Kontera, Ebay
When hubpages pays via paypal for the contest, did you get the full amount? In my case,out of the 50$ Prize money, I got 47.75$ with a fee 2.25$ being deducted. Is this correct? That means this fee is for paypal's service,is it?Kindly let me know.
Also, have you been paid by Amazon so far? If so, which is the better option to choose for payment? By check where min. payout is 100 $ or wire transfer(10$)? Is wire transfer available for India? Since you are a seasoned hubber and from India, I thought you would be the best person to ask. Also, what kind of hubs make more money,with adsen se and with amazon?
If you do not mind sharing, what is the average amount you get each month via adsense alone, for hubpages?

Hi Esther, here are the answers to all your questions:
1. When hubpages pays via paypal for the contest, did you get the full amount? In my

Yes 2.25$ is paypal's fee and paypal also charges 50 INR extra if you
are withdrawing less than 6,999 INR into your bank account. Also, you
can check the exchange rate of paypal, their dollar value is
approximately 1 dollar less than the current rate but don't worry, you
are not alone. Same has happened for me and same happens with every
paypal user.
2. Have you been paid by Amazon so far?
Yes, I have been paid twice only. Amazon is slow for me. I got 106
dollar check and another 107 dollar check but the worse part is that
it takes approximately 45 days for the check to be cleared in your
bank account in India. If you have a Bank of America savings account,
then you can get the money within 3 to 4 days.
3. If so, which is the better option to choose for payment? By check
where min. payout is 100 $ or wire transfer(10$)? Is wire transfer
available for India?
Unfortunately, Amazon's wire transfer is not available for Indian
accounts, so the only way is to be paid via Wells Forego bank check
where Amazon has it's account.
4. Since you are a seasoned hubber and from India, I thought you would
be the best person to ask. Also, what kind of hubs make more
money,with adsense and with amazon?
If talking especially about hubs making most money, then hubs on
selling products make always more money than others. An example is;

hubpages. This was a simple example. You can also write a hub like
"tips for choosing the best laptop - where to buy the best laptop in
India"

I am receiving approximately 400 dollars per month via adsense and
